I will be the first to admit that I am a proud Colbert fangirl. I've been a fan for quite some time. I've been to the Report three times now, and plan to go to the NYC Comic Con signing/unveiling of the Tek Jansen comic series. I like to think that I, a fangirl, know the boundaries as such. It's been called to my attention that most do not. The pre-show run-down as of late has proven this. They specifically tell you what can and can not be asked of Stephen (personally I'd like to ask him to show me on a doll where Joe Scarborough tried to touch him). It worries me that a man of his celebrity status, who does put so very much of himself out into the public, is quite vulnerable, and that the fans who don't know their place will inevitably take it too far, and ruin it for those of us who know our places, or possibly worse: put Colbert himself in a dangerous situation.

The Colboards prove this. It's a very very scary place. Some have actually brought up the idea of going to his church, on a Sunday, his place of worship, during his very little time out of the spotlight to have conversation with his god, as well as to be with his family and parish. To even consider doing such is seriously and deeply fucked up. Give the man a break for Christ's sake(no pun intended here) What's worse is that other members of the 'boards have actually condoned this sick behavior.

Stephen is a very sweet man, who really does seem love his fans and seems to truly love his job. You can tell he has a lot of fun with it. I honestly don't know what else to say, just donating my two-cents.
